Apples & Cinnamon Breaky Bowl
1/3 c thick cut rolled oats
1 c water
1 tbsp ground flaxseed
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 organic apple
Handful of walnuts
Unrefined, virgin coconut oil
Dash of nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon
1/4 c almond milk (or preferred milk)
Healthy spoonful of nut butter
Additional seeds and dried fruit for topping (suggestions: hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds, dried mulberries, goji berries, dried cranberries, dried apricots)
In a medium pot, bring water to a boil and add oats, chia seeds, ground flaxseed and spices. Cook to desired consistency. Add almond milk, may like to add more for creamier consistency.
Thinly slice apples.
Coat a small pan with a little coconut oil on medium heat. Add apples and walnuts with a dash of cinnamon, and cook until lightly brown on both side.
When oats are done, transfer to a bowl and top off with apples, walnuts, nut butter, hemp seeds, dried mulberries
